2010 Youth Tour
Essay Contest In
thinking about the future, how do you see our world
being changed by the production and use of electricity
in the next two decades?
That’s something we hope will be on the minds of area
high school juniors who
would like to win an all expense paid
trip to Washington DC, representing
Freeborn-Mower
Cooperative Services (FMCS) at the
2010 Rural Electric
Cooperative Youth Tour. This learning and leadership
event will be held June 12-17, 2010.

Meet your senators and representatives |

Learn about rural electrification on the local, state and national levels |

Tour historical sites and landmarks |
A completed
application form, parental consent form, and
a 500-word essay
must be submitted to Mary Nelson, FMCS
Executive Assistant, by 3:30 p.m.
on March 5, 2010. A
banquet for the parents and students will be held in
March at
the FMCS Headquarters
Building. Applicants must be the children
of FMCS members and
reside in the cooperative’s service territory. For an
