Billing Dates/Usage |
Your current bill
reflects the amount you owe for
electricity used in the previous month.
Your electric bill is due on or before
the 20th of the month. To avoid an additional
fee, pay your bill on or before the 20th
of the month. You may choose between
various payment methods.
Unfortunately, at times customers may be
late in paying their electric bills.
When this happens, we urge them to
contact us to avoid a disconnection of
electric service. We consider
disconnecting electric service for
nonpayment a last resort and would
rather work out
payment arrangements.
Electricity is billed and measured in
kilowatt-hours (kWh), as you are billed
according to the kWh use reported on
your electric meter. A kilowatt-hour is
a measurement of electricity supplied to
a circuit for one hour. When you pay for
1 kilowatt-hour of electricity, you're
buying 1,000 watts of electricity used
continuously for one hour.
For instance, a 100-watt bulb burning
for 10 hours requires 1 kWh of
electricity. Our typical residential
consumers use approximately 1500 kWh of
electricity each month. For more
