Billing

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services (FMCS) offers simple billing solutions and convenience by providing you several ways to pay your bill.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPORT YOUR METER READING

FMCS uses the Turtle® automated meter reading system. This means that you do NOT need to provide a current meter reading when submitting payment of your electric bill. The Turtle® will automatically read and report your meter on the 1st of every month. This will provide you with a consistent billing period for your electric bill.

It is still a good idea to make notes when your usage is likely to be lower or higher than normal. For example, corn dryers, fans, air conditioners, and hot tubs can raise usage considerably. Likewise, if you've been on vacation for three weeks, a lower usage would be expected. Making notes about these events will help FMCS investigate any metering/billing issue that may arise.
